Bathroom Reveal - From Blah to Spa

This project is a great example of how you can dramatically transform a space on a reasonable budget. My client was tired of her 1950's vanity and powder blue tile and ready for a "spa-like" guest bathroom. Here's a preview of the space before:

We debated whether we should keep the old floor, but decided after finding this great carrara-like porcelain tile, we might as well since the cost would be minimal and the rest of the bathroom was already torn up. We're glad we did! As it turns out, the sub-floor was completely rotted!

Although it feels high end, everything in this bathroom is from a big box store. The vanity is from Menards, the sconces are from Home Depot, mirrors are from Lowes, sink fixtures from Home Depot and shower curtain from HomeGoods. We also decided not to move the sconces to save on the cost of labor. It just goes to show, with a little extra time to search online and a critical eye, you can have an amazing space without breaking the bank.

The paint color is Benjamin Moore, Woodlawn Blue. We wanted a soothing color, but also wanted to be sure it felt different from the old blue tile. Thanks to the slight green undertones, Woodlawn Blue is clean, relaxing and updated.
