Happy Friday!!! There are so many great looks happening in design right now. I feel like now, more than in the past few years, there's something for everyone. We're finally seeing a shift back to a slightly more traditional look and that makes me giddy. I do love designing a modern and contemporary space, but I'm thrilled to see softer palettes of blush, green and warm white mixed with hints of black. The contrast creates so much visual interest. It's inviting and fresh, yet timeless.
Here's what I'm loving at the moment:
1. Nightstand 2. Blush Wallpaper 3. Lumbar Pillow 4. Woven Bowl 5. Pillow 6. Daybed 7. Floral Wallpaper 8. Art 9. Farmgirl Flowers 10. Dinnerware 11. Ticking Stripe Pillow 12. Floor Lamp 13. Console 14. Soft Neutral Living Room 15. Lantern 16. Rug 17. Dining Table
1. Love the clean lines and combination of wood, metal and glass (although, I would probably change out the hardware). So simple, but so much interest.
2. This wallpaper in a girl's room would be so pretty and can easily evolve into her teen years.
3. Love the color and monochromatic pattern of this lumbar pillow.
4. A basket bowl not only adds texture to a room, but is functional and decorative at the same time.
5. A basic solid pillow that will work with just about anything.
6. This daybed is a great example of the modern and traditional mix I mentioned above. The tufting and nailhead trim, combined with the hard lines of the metal base, strike the perfect balance.
7. Beautiful and classic wall covering. Use in a small powder room for maximum impact.
8. I have been eyeing this piece for my own home FOREVER. Love the soft palette and use of white space.
9. If you haven't checked out Farmgirl Flowers, you must. They deliver all over the United States and their bouquets are simply stunning.
10. We were in desperate need of new dinnerware. I knew I wanted an all white set and researched so long, we barely had any plates left. I wanted something made in the USA that was microwave, oven and dishwasher safe, as well as lead free. I resisted Fiestaware for a long time because the design snob in me didn't think it felt stylish enough (and in my mind I could only picture the rainbow assortment of colors). Well, I'm here to tell you, the all white set is AMAZING!!! They are so beautiful and heavy. If you're in need of new dinnerware, definitely check these out.
11. Ticking stripe combined with a soft fringe? Yes, please. I'll take that combination all day long.
12. I'm using this lamp in a design right now. I'm in love with the scalloped concrete base and brass details.
13. I'm drawn to the soft curves and impactful black finish. Another traditional piece with a modern edge.
14. This room proves when you mix materials, you do not need a lot of color to make a statement. The abundance of texture from the brick, raw wood beams, limestone and linen are pure perfection.
15. I'm a sucker for lanterns...and this one is simply stunning.
16. This rug is another item I have used and the pictures do not do it justice. For the price, this is one of the prettiest and most versatile rugs I have seen in a long time.
17. Another piece with great lines and a soft natural mahogany finish. It's ability to extend to 88" is a plus, too.
What are your favorite looks/ trends right now?
